Pastor Rick Thiemke finished up the conference yesterday by saying that the only thing God has given us complete control of in this world is our heart. But when untouched, our heart has a short shelf life. It spoils quickly without attention.
Rick gave us these challenging gems of advice about guarding our hearts:
When things go wrong…
- Address your fears.
- Seek council from those who have been there.
- Don’t over-spiritualize it.
- Don’t bail.
And when things go right…
- Make it more about Him and less about you.
- Continue to dream.
